Privacy
Wasla Souq (Belford Trading Group FZC) keeps only what it needs to run the marketplace: your name, email, account type, and a security record of sign-ins (time, IP address, browser).
When you apply, we also keep what you tell us in your application: for brands, the company name, trade licence number, emirate, website, category, phone and description; for affiliates, the name you post under, country, profile links, audience size, phone and description. Only our review team sees these details.
When someone opens an affiliate's link, we record the time, the device type (phone or computer), the website they came from and a scrambled (hashed) form of their IP address, to stop fake clicks. We never store the IP address itself. We then send them to the brand's shop with a random click number, so the brand can tell us which affiliate to credit if they buy. Click records are deleted after 13 months. We use cookies only to keep you logged in.
For each credited sale we keep the brand's order number, the amount, currency, date and the commission. We don't receive the buyer's name, address or payment details. When a brand records paying an affiliate, we keep the amount, date, the payment reference the brand gives (e.g. a transfer number) and the affiliate's answer. We never hold or move the money.
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. When you choose a password, a scrambled fragment of it is checked against a public list of leaked passwords (Have I Been Pwned); your password itself is never sent anywhere.
Emails are sent through Resend. Brand subscription payments are handled by Stripe: brands enter their card on Stripe's pages, and we only keep Stripe's customer and subscription numbers, the subscription's status and its renewal date.
